Kwon Ji-Yong, better known by his stage name G-Dragon, is the leader of the Korean hip-hop group Big Bang. He began training under YG Entertainment at the age of twelve. After six years of vocal and dance training he made his debut in 2006 as part of Big Bang.

G-Dragon is a South Korean singer, musician, and songwriter. He debuted at the age of 12, by participating in the Korean Hip Hop Flex album in 2001, as the youngest member of the group. In 2002, he was scouted to YG Entertainment, and after 6 years of practice, he became the leader of a Korean band, Big Bang, in 2006. He is now the vocal and rapper of the team, and also contributes to various album production. He also writes lyrics and songs; he created many hit songs. He has opened a new, revolutionary era for the Korean music industry with the success "Lies," which was quite new in Korea at the time. His boom continued with the success of "Last Farewell", "Haru Haru", and "My Heaven"- which he worked on with a Japanese musician, Daishi Dance. He also became a famous fashionista, representing his own unique fashion style. He was awarded as one of the "Most Influential Men of 2008" (style part) sponsored by Arena magazine.
