Gain of function research should be stopped and made illegal, globally, no buts about it. UN, EU, FDA... are responsible for this and the past outbreaks of such viruses that have been engineered in a Lab (AIDS, SARS, ZIKA, EBOLA, COVID-19...).

Let us remember that it was Chinese gov. who approved or, ordered 'gain of function' research. Something went wrong and virus escaped the confines of the lab. It affected the Chines population in Wuhan first. Innocent people suffered the incredibly strict lock-down measures and many died on the streets. Their health system was overwhelmed. If anyone should be made accountable for this disaster, it should be all leaders of the countries/global orgs. who approved such research, not the people of these countries. Let's seed love, not hate.;)
